Catering to each client's needs in their own unique way is key. What might work for one person, may be different for another. The aim is to keep your budget at whatever cost fits you and work with items that maybe available around your home instead of spending more money if you do not need to. Our mission is creating a space that feels comfortable, welcoming and feels like home, even if it is a work environment.
Organizing has always been a passion of mine. I do not really care for all the flash and glitters, but I do enjoy a peaceful environment. Some might say I have an old soul. I enjoyed organizing for friends and acquaintances at no cost for fun. Seeing the beauty in the mess came naturally. However, I ran away from my passion, because the idea of cleaning up the clutter gave me a migraine(figuratively speaking, fear. Taking the easy way out is not always wise. However, God had his tactics to draw me back to my passion and face my fears.
While experiencing grief in March 2020, up until my hospitalization with pneumonia in April 2021 (Covid pneumonia), was a wake up call. I saw the end of my life when I coded twice and realized that I did not fulfill my purpose on Earth. After my discharge in May 2021, I was faced with the clutter of all the items purchased as a coping mechanism during the grieving phase of my Aunt's death. Many people I hoped to help me, were not there. I had to clean up the mess I created with the little strength I had. Later my Mom came to help. In those moments with the help of the Most High God everything became possible.
Also within those moments, I realized the Most High God was teaching me some valuable lessons. He is our strength even when there is no one around who you could depend on. The pain, tears and strength help me realize that I can clean up the clutter and organize any space to help others. I realize how many people may be experiencing some kind of grief, depression, stress and other issues that may hinder their ability to keep up with their surroundings and need some help. Hence, Kemys 2nd Chance LLC was birth. Sometimes God will give us that reminder. Now I am here to help bring some clarity to your space and that will create some joy and allow you to enjoy your space, because my aim is to make your area feel like a home or give it a welcoming feeling.
Following your passion makes the work more fun.
Kemecia Arthur was born in the Caribbean, a Lesser Antilles region called St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but lived on a Grenadines Island called Canouan. It is still under the British government, and known as the Island where the billionaires go to run away from the millionaires. Canouan is a tiny Island that feels like paradise; from the blue sky to the clear waters, white sand of different textures, and a space where turtles roam freely.
Growing up there thought valuable lesson, that little or less is more. Her upbringing gave her the will to push through and never give up no matter how hard things may seem. Her biggest and first supporters have all passed on, but she will always carry their love within. Kemecia remains thankful for the few who support and give encouragement. She tried to stay home as much as she could with her aunt and grandmother, because the home was filled with so much love. She enjoyed home more than school at that time.
Later, before her preteen years, she moved to St. Lucia. It was definitely and unexpected change. A new journey began. Although it felt like a Cinderella tale, whatever she learned during that time also help her prepare for task in her field. Woodwork was one of her favorite class, because she is a hands on type of person.
Moved to CT, USA and has been her location ever since. Although it was a culture change, she made the best of it. Has over a decade of healthcare experience. Being able to visualize the beauty in the mess, has been a gift that transcended into organizing spaces. Enjoys motivating others on a daily base and is now a registered motivational speaker. Her passion and life journey continues, as well as her pursuit to help others.
